Gizmo and Pixel with Elizabeth

I’ve been so lucky over the last ten years in Milwaukee to meet so many wonderful, savvy business owners in the wedding and events industry. Elizabeth Webber, owner of Coqui Paperie is no exception to that. I’ve known of her shop and their beautiful work for a long time, and so when Elizabeth reached out to be photographed in two separate sessions I was absolutely thrilled. The first session she wanted to do this spring was a hybrid of branding imagery and personal portraits of and with her two adorable dogs. We had a blast in the studio making these photographs and I am so excited to share them with everyone today.

And now a bit from Elizabeth on her experience:

I’ve known of Jenn for years being in the wedding and event industry in Milwaukee. The last few years I’ve followed her portrait work and have loved seeing everyone’s photos and thought “someday.”

As a single woman, besides my 2 fur babies that is, I thought it would be silly to have portraits taken of myself. Last year when Jenn mentioned that her prices would be going up, I decided to gift myself this experience for the holidays! At the consultation, I realized this would be the perfect time to capture my dogs as well.

For the last 14 years, I’ve owned Coqui Paperie, and specialize in custom wedding and event invitations. We are in the process of making some exciting changes to our business and I will be expanding my offerings into education as well. Not only will these portraits be great to have photos of myself and dogs I love, but for business too! I love that they are heirloom quality as well, so I am happy to have photos at this stage in life to share with my future children.

Amanda did an amazing job on my hair and makeup. As a makeup lover, I often hate how other people do mine for me, and LOVED what she did! I was even able to give feedback at the end, so we made a few adjustments to make sure I loved it. My hair turned out perfect for my vibe.

As soon as Whitney arrived, I knew my dogs were in good hands! She was great at helping keep their attention when needed, and they looked so content on her lap and relaxing while I was getting photographed on my own!

From start to finish, Jenn made this shoot so fun. During the consultation, we bounced ideas back and forth and I left with an organized plan of what I needed to do to prepare and what she would have waiting for me. Her selection of dresses and jewelry is so fun to try on!

During the shoot, she is amazing at directing during the shoot. I wasn’t nervous per say, but of course like a typical woman worry about how I look in the end result! She makes it super fun and comfortable, while still being able to direct and pose you in the perfect ways. She has such a talented eye!

I was so excited for the reveal, but I just knew I would love them and wow was I ever blown away! She was able to capture my personality, and maybe more importantly capture my dogs exactly as I envision them!

I will treasure these forever and had no hesitation in purchasing the Black Label Collection.” ~Elizabeth
