King Kong (Boxer/Lab Mix), Godzilla (Mini Belgium Shepherd) and Sasquatch (Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd) are three farm dogs who live with one of my amazing hair & makeup artists, Katrina. She came to me for portraits of her three little babies and I was so very happy to have them! They each very much have their own personality – and yet at the same time they’re totally a trio.
I had SO much fun creating these images for Katrina and her family.
And now a few words from Katrina on her experience with this pet shoot:
“I lost my sweet Jack Russell Kasey of 14 years a couple years ago and regret not having photos of her. I always promised myself, when the time to get another dog came, I would take more photos. At this point, I had no idea professional pet photos was even a thing!
My first pet shoot with Jennifer as a Hair & Makeup Artist was what gave us that final push to bring home a new puppy. Within 2 days, we welcomed 2 dogs and a year later, one more and our pet family was complete. King Kong, Godzilla and Sasquatch were the missing pieces to make our family whole. Yes, our kids named them.
The whole shoot experience was amazing, our dogs are precocious and energetic and sometimes unruly. Whitney was incredible with them and Jennifer captured their personalities perfectly!
When I saw the photos during my reveal, my heart swelled. Thank you Jennifer for giving me something I originally wanted, but in the end needed.
